We are not worms – we are created in the image of God. However, we are sinners completely corrupted by sin in rebellion against God. We deserve His wrath and destruction. It is only the imputed righteousness of Christ covering the sins of those who accept Him as Lord and Savior are acceptable in God’s site. We are the Sons of God and heirs through Christ’s righteousness and atoning death.
